Overview

Bhutan, known as the "Land of the Thunder Dragon," is a mystical and enchanting destination nestled in the heart of the Himalayas. With its pristine natural beauty, vibrant culture, and emphasis on Gross National Happiness, Bhutan has become a sought-after tourism hotspot. Explore this happiest country in the world, with our Bhutan Tour Packages and seek the happy vacation that you have been longing for a while.
The journey begins in Phuentsholing, the gateway to Bhutan. As one crosses the border from the Indian town of Jaigaon, a world of wonder unfolds. Phuentsholing, a bustling town, showcases the fusion of Bhutanese and Indian influences, reflecting the cross-border trade and flourishing local economy. The scenic drive from Phuentsholing to Thimphu is a feast for the senses, leaving behind the crowded streets as the road winds through picturesque landscapes.
Upon reaching Thimphu, the capital city, visitors are greeted by a unique blend of tradition and modernity. Exploring the city on foot allows for a deeper understanding of its vibrant personality. Thimphu, renowned for being the only city in the world without traffic lights, presents a captivating array of imported garments, local souvenirs, and exquisite handicrafts. The experience of strolling through its streets immerses travelers in the rhythm of daily life while offering a glimpse into the harmonious coexistence of tradition and progress.
From Thimphu, the journey continues to Punakha, a valley known for its serene beauty. En route, a stop at Dochula Pass treats visitors to breathtaking views of the Himalayas, along with a chance to savor a cup of hot coffee or tea. Punakha holds cultural and historical significance, boasting the majestic Punakha Dzong, the second oldest and second-largest dzong in Bhutan. This architectural marvel is not only a testament to Bhutan's rich heritage but also serves as the winter residence of the Je Khenpo, the chief abbot.
The final leg of the journey will take you to Paro, a picturesque region known for its fertile rice fields and the crystal-clear Paro River. Paro is home to the iconic Taktsang Monastery, popularly known as the Tiger's Nest Temple. Perched dramatically on a sheer cliff face, this sacred Buddhist site offers an awe-inspiring trekking experience and is considered one of the holiest sites in Bhutan. Exploring Paro allows visitors to delve into the country's rich history, visit the unique National Museum, and indulge in shopping for souvenirs that showcase Bhutanese craftsmanship.
